How to Prepare for a Session

  • Insurance check

    Verifying your insurance plan benefits prior to scheduling an appointment is an important step to beginning the therapy process. This step allows you to have a clear understanding of your coverage, co-payments, and potential out-of-pocket fees.

    Please remember that being responsible for your bill and ensuring your copay is paid at the time of service not only helps maintain the integrity of our therapeutic relationship but also supports the sustainability of Balanced Within, LLC.

  • Not sure what to ask insurance?

    1. If your insurance plan covers therapy sessions with me.

    2. If you have a co-payment or co-insurance, and what that amount/percentage is.

    3. If your insurance plan has a deductible that includes mental health appointments. (A deductible is the amount you will pay out of pocket before insurance pays all or part of your appointment costs)

    4. If your plan will cover telehealth sessions.
